I’ve been studying Mandarin with Amy Ding for three months. Under her tutelage, I’ve made rapid progress in all areas. Patient and experienced, Amy uses a diverse collection of teaching strategies to demystify a language that often feels complex and intimidating.
With Amy’s help, I’ve expanded my vocabulary and improved my articulation (a critical component of learning a tonal language). Though I came to her as a beginner, we’re already having simple conversations. I’m also reading and writing short essays in both pinyin and characters. She has warmly welcomed me into her home and goes above and beyond to ensure I understand the material. She incorporates cooking and Chinese cuisine into our lessons, and has taught me so much about Chinese history and culture. I highly recommend Amy as a teacher.
