Introduction: I love working with all breeds of dogs. I have nearly 20 years experience training, rescuing, rehabbing, and rehoming dogs of all breeds. My knowledge of dog (and cat) behavior is extensive and I take great pride in helping others learn as much as possible about their dogs. One of the big differences between myself and other trainers is that I will teach you how to manage your dog, not just train it to do sit and down. I also train and compete with my German Shepherds in a sport very similar to police dog work. It is a very demanding sport with three separate and distinct disciplines. I am a professional, educated, reliable person.
My goal in helping you train your dog is so that you and your dog(s) can live a happy life together. In the end this will help to prevent more dogs from ending up homeless, or euthanized. I love working with dogs that others give up on. They always end up being the best dogs.

Steve has a lot of knowledge when it comes to dogs and their behaviors. He was able to get a good feel for what we needed and wanted from our dog and work with him to achieve the desired result. I would definitely recommend him as a dog trainer.

Steve has been my mentor for 10+years in the world of rescue and giving advice for dogs in need of behavior modification. Steve uses positive reinforcers and established a connection with the dog. He sees their potential and helps get them there. He has been training the working breed and knows how to channel their energy. I highly recommend Steve's training and you can know your dog is in good hands. Steve also has compassion for the special needs dogs and puts his heart and soul in each to each one.
