- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing depends on the customized service provided. Service fee plus cost of groceries in most cases with our standard in-home personal chef service and based on service plans ( one-time, weekly, bi-weekly etc). In-home events that range from Date Nights, Anniversary, Birthday or any Special Ocassion event up to 25 people are priced per head and includes cost of food. Gift certificates are available. Chef Frances cooks on site in the client's homes for all services provided and does not work out of a commercial kitchen or deliver prepared foods.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initial contact and booking of a free consultation(by phone or visit location) and determine cook day/s. Customized menu planning and recipes approval. A 30% deposit or $200.00 minimum whichever is applicable/greater is requred to secure date. Cancellations made 7 days or more before event will receive 100% refund of deposit. Cancellations made within 4-6 days from event will receive 50% refund. Cancellations made 72 hours or less from event will receive no refund. A 40% is due 72hrs or 3 days prior to the event to shop and prepare for the cook day. The balance is due and payable before or on the morning of the Standard Personal Chef cook day and before/or at the completion of the dinner party event; whicever arrangement is more convenient/suitable. The cost of the event based on the originally agreed upon menu and number of guests shall not be reduced/increased within 72 hours of the event. For standard personal chef service; on the cook day, I do the grocery shopping & present receipts for reimbursement. I provide all pots and pans and cooking utensils if necessary. I prep and prepare the food and package the meals with detailed instructions on how to reheat (fresh-served, refrigerated or frozen meals). I store meals in the refrigerator and/or freezer. I leave the kitchen in the clean condition as received.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Culinary trained professional, Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, Miami and certification from the Culinary Business Academy as a Personal Chef. Member of The United States Personal Chef Association and certified in food safety and sanitation with The National Registry Of Food Safety Professionals. Also, General Liability Coverage through the USPCA. Personal Chef Services are offered by Travelling Home Gourmet PCS LLC, a registered company in the State of Florida for the past nine years.
