FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It's hard to standardize because everyone's plant types and yard sizes are different. I need to look at the job I can give the best quote.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to be the first one to call and I like to come as soon as possible because I know the customer has decided to take action and that's why they picked up the phone. I'm very prompt and on time to give proposals. Upon arrival, I listen carefully to what the customer has to say about their property and then I design a plan that will efficiently and economically give them the satisfaction that they are looking for.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In college I studied horticulture. I've taken courses with the Rainbird Sprinkler Company and I've studied bonsai art at the Tokyo Institute of Bonsai. I've also taken courses offered by the University of Hawaii cooperative extension on lawns and weed and insect control. Prior to entry in the landscape business, I was in the wholesale plant nursery business, so I know how to make plants grow and where they belong in the yard.
