Glenmont Dog Training

I am currently offering Basic Obedience and Competition-level Obedience classes, as well as Novice to Advance Trick Dog classes (thru: #domorewithyourdog). I also provide Canine Good Citizen preparation and testing. Clients have the option of attending group classes or booking private lessons. My goal with each client is to encourage better communication between owners and their canine companions through positive-reinforcement methods, as well as teach dogs good manners both in and out of the house and to ensure each client and their dog excels to his/her fullest potential. I am a force-free dog trainer with 4 years experience and a competition-level background. I provide a free evaluation for each dog before attending their first class. I love working with clients and their canine companions because I believe there is nothing more important than a well-behaved dog. To be responsible for the strengthened bond between a dog-owner and their furbaby is a rewarding job in itself. It always fills me with joy witnessing a dog have that "light-bulb" moment during a training lesson and to see the proud smiling faces of the owners is beyond priceless. Every dog trainer can say there is nothing more fun than seeing a smart and easy-going dog reach it's fullest potential in Obedience. However, in my line of work, it's the difficult cases that really define my career. In my eyes I am the last line of defense in keeping problem-dogs out of shelters, where they usually end up. So I always thank my clients for entrusting me with their dog's life. It's my way of making a difference in the world, one case at a time. NO problem-behavior is too big to solve!
