FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $65.00 for 60 mins, $50.00 for 45 mins and $35.00 for 30 mins. Lessons are weekly.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We first talk and decide on their goals: what repertoire they would like to learn and play and what defines their musical taste. We work on developing the necessary skills such as basic music theory, sight-reading, piano technique, and ear training. We work on two or more pieces from the classical or contemporary repertoire, and we perfect it to a performing level. If well prepared, the student can perform on my biannual studio recitals, or even participate in local music competitions and concerts.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters in Piano Performance and Literature from the University of Western Ontario (Canada) and Bachelors in Piano Performance from Virginia Commonwealth University. I have 6 years of experience teaching private piano lessons to students of all levels.
