FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I am working with a potential/new customer I prefer to begin our interaction over the phone. Talking with the customer about their questions or concerns regarding my service is the first step. After we have talked and figured out if we are good fit then I would proceed with a house visit to get acquainted with the animals and their proper care.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended Michigan State University and graduated with a degree in Kinesiology. I am now working as a personal trainer. This has given me experience in working with clients and their needs. As a pet sitter or walker I am prepared to do what is necessary to meet the animals and owners needs just like a personal training client. I have gained excellent communication skills and the ability to work my schedule around what my clients needs are. As for the actual care of animals, I have owned 2 cats and 1 dog throughout my life. I currently own 1 cat. I have taken care of cats and dogs for friends and family throughout my whole adult life.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started doing this type of work just by word of mouth through friends and family. I decided to try and expand my business by using this business tool. I have always owned a pet and I understand the need to have them cared for while you are away. I wanted to help owners feel secure in leaving their pet behind in the comfort of their own home instead of a kennel.
