Specific behaviors to address
Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I am not a "throw a pinch collar on, an sling the dog around until it does what we want" type of trainer. To each their own, but I concentrate first on building a communication system, and relationship with your dog. We are two separate species, so why humans think dogs "understand us" so quickly when it comes to verbal commands in training, is beyond me. We have to understand they speak a different language than us (body language), and at that, we BOTH need to learn how to communicate back and forth before corrections are even in the picture. Attention is everything, and if you do not have communication you simply are not going to have attention (unless it is forced attention). Personally, forced attention is exactly that. It is something the dog is more than willing to give up to go be "attentive" to something else. While using a marker system is not unique (some use a clicker for this), I definitely use work markers for certain behaviors, and often leave the commands totally out of the dialect until the dog understands the behavior. One thing at a time for our babies. First the dog needs to learn the behavior, then the cue, then repeat that until it is 100% every time you ask for it, and THEN we add in the verbal command. I am not so hasty to put the word "down" with a behavior that looks like the twisted pretzel, then the angry cat yoga pose, until the dog is actually showing me a consistent "down position". I have a good sense of humor, and like to make things as fun as possible, but also am very honest with my clients. I'm not going to yank someone's chain telling them I can do all this with their dog, and it clearly is not achievable. My job is not to be your cheerleader, but to make sure you understand what you are doing, and if you don't understand, my job is for me to find you a way. :-) Last but not least, I think anything worth doing is worth doing exceptional! That way in dog training you at least get away with "good" most of the time. ;-) Oh, and for you adopters out there, be sure to bring your adoption records and get 40% off any dog training services! It is our thanks for rescuing! Just say the words "dog training", and people think you have the coolest job in the world. Yea, I admit, it is pretty cool until something gets hiked on, but of course it is much more than just cool. I love dogs, and stand in amazement at their capabilities of knowledge. I also highly enjoy working with people. Sounds like a simple answer, but rest assure it goes much deeper into the heart. P.S. The website is still in the works so give me a little extra leash for that please!!!

Was amazed that after a few lessons with Lisa, my beagle was actually walking next to me and not pulling me along on walks. Very skilled lady!!

I let the owner know that I was interested in her training my puppy both through email and by calling. I never received any additional communication and was left to find someone else.
