HIRE HIRE HIRE THIS GUY! He is fantastic. So my husband and I received a 45 minute wedding video in our video package from our videographers. We thought this would be the perfect length since we were dealing with 16 hours of raw footage. We loved the finished video and it was a great gift for our parents and family who could not attend, but most of our guests and friends did not want to sit through a 45 minute video. We decided to have the 45 minute video cut into an approximately 4 minute highlight video, this way we could have both a long an short version, but our videographers wanted to charge us an $300 to only cut down the original video. I luckily found Rene who was wiling to take on the project at a VERY affordable cost. I communicated with Rene via phone and email. He is very open to communicating in any way you want. He was very attentive and understood our situation. He really listened to what we wanted. He translated exactly what we wanted into our highlight video. The video turned out extremely beautiful, enjoyable, and easy to watch. I love it way more than my 45 minute wedding video, and to be honest I'm not sure if I will show the 45 minute video any longer as the highlight video is just perfection. Rene even added a few extra features that added to the theme and feeling of the video. Rene really cares about what you want and puts 100% into his editing. He willingly will not stop until you are extremely happy with the results. His attention to detail created the perfect video for us. He was also kind enough to keep us updated regularly on his progress. He is truly a delight to work with.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I have a phone call with the customer and gather the key elements of the job. Then, if local, I prefer to follow with a face to face meeting (probably at some local coffee shop for the client to see me in person) to discuss the specifics in more detail.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
It started as a hobby, and I learned from reading books and watching loads of tutorials online. I did free work for friends and family and a few tutorial videos (mostly tech related) for places I worked at.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I just made videos to share with my friends and family but I find that I really enjoy making videos, editing, and taking photos. And I've gotten quite good at it.
