Introduction: Finding my niche in the bridal market was the best thing I did for myself and my future business. You can look at many wedding planner’s packages and they are all pretty similar. There is a pretty standard set of duties that we cover in our profession. When I realized this, I set out to make my packages different and possibly better meet the needs of my ideal client. With that said, I have added things to my packages that other planners do not offer, such as assistance in stationary design. I have also included a list of Little Luxuries. These are special extras that my couples can choose to add into their package (up to a certain dollar amount). Another factor that sets me apart is my experience and connections in Private Estate events which takes skills and knowledge beyond what is required for an event planner who specializes in resort and hotel wedding and event planning. Don't get me wrong, being a wedding and event planner is not all rainbows and sunshine but it is my passion! Everyday I continue to grow as a planner and I learn something new each day about myself and my business. For me, wedding and event planning is a creative outlet. I have had the opportunity to inspire brides and grooms with the most stunning of details to help them make their special day the best day ever! But with that said, I also get to make the planning experience an enjoyable ride and work alongside them as I get to know about the couple and their journey together. I love knowing that my clients are at ease and get to make decisions without pressure or regret as I walk alongside them. One of my favorite things about my job is the many incredible couples I have the opportunity to get to know. Each with their own style and thoughts of a dream wedding is what keeps my job exciting and me on my toes. And my all time favorite part about being a wedding planner is seeing the bride and groom’s reactions of all the details coming together on the wedding day. There is nothing that compares to that feeling on their special day!

Kelsey was one of our wedding coordinators, and she was a hard worker. She responded to all of our phone calls, emails, texts in a timely manner, and swiftly addressed all the issues that arose during the planning process. Kelsey truly does care about her brides and grooms. She will stand by you to make sure that your best interests are protected, especially when communicating with vendors on your behalf. Dealing with vendors is half the battle, and can either make or break your budget. Design details make up the other half, and can consume all your free time. Kelsey and our event planning service made our wedding planning painless. The final outcome, our wedding, was absolutely gorgeous. Our guests were blown away by our venue, ceremony, and reception. Without them, our wedding would have been a disaster because both my husband and I are extremely busy people who barely have time to sleep, let alone plan a wedding!

We did not work with Kelsey under the Honey Hues Event & Wedding brand, but she was our primary day-of coordinator for our wedding August 2016. Under the previous company, she had to work 3 weddings the same weekend, and although I could hear the stress that this placed on her, and was worried that we were the 3rd (Sunday) wedding of her weekend, she managed to execute and deliver a flawless experience. And even though we were not engaged for full coordination services, Kelsey was extremely helpful in providing us guidance and scheduling assistance with our vendors. She was budget conscious and never hesitated to provide us tips and options where we could optimize our budget. One thing I realized throughout the experience is that there are different kinds of coordinators out there - those who are truly enthusiastic about the wedding experience, and those that are more focused on the business aspect of it. If I were to do a wedding again, I would only choose a coordinator that is truly driven to providing the B&G the best wedding experience, and I'm happy to recommend Kelsey as that kind of coordinator.
