Why did I decide to become an Entrepreneur and with it adopt a whole new set of responsibilities? Trust me, it is not always glamorous and the best reward is client’s reactions and kudos. MY MISSION. I founded Sea Interior Design in Arizona in 2001 and moved to SoCal in 2014 because I felt –through working for major remodeling companies and kitchen and bath firms; that client’s needs were not being met. I noticed a huge disconnect between what I had discussed with the client and included in the design concept and scope of work; to what the production team delivered. Often feeling that I had let the client down. I wanted to change the process and the experience for YOU…the client. I wanted to be involved in every aspect so I could deliver as promised and I could help YOU the client navigate the decisions, changes and the unexpected. I set out to create an interior design company that paid attention to customers’ needs, wants, and desires, yet remained flexible, honest, and capable of delivering on its promises. I wanted a new standard for the experience clients had while renovating their homes or through working with an interior designer.

I called Rebecca to help redesign my kitchen at our home in Tempe. From the very first visit she totally got my vision and improved upon it 100 fold. She hired the BEST contractors who produced the kitchen not only of my dreams but also keeping in mind the southwestern design of the rest of the house. The resulting spaces she provided looks like it's always been there and flows perfectly with the home. She is ver conscientious when keeping opmy budget in mind so it didn't break my bank. I highly recommend Rebecca and Sea Interior Design for any remodels.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our prices are competitive with the level of service, quality, and design we offer. The level of involvement also affects the price. We have many options for clients to work with us from as little as an in-home or in studio consultation for 90 minutes, to ONE DAY DESIGN & DONE projects, to Full kitchen & bath remodels, custom furniture specification, procurement & installment. We also offer our virtual design services and DIY packages.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After we have made contact we ask that the client complete our proprietary questionnaire and send us photos of the existing space and a couple inspiration photos. Depending on the project we may need measurements or any information that may help the process along. We then contact the client to set up an appointment if necessary. The appointments are to get familiarized with the project and the client's expectations. Depending on the project we may be able to do this appointment via video chat. Then we proceed from there depending on the project to the next step. Every project is different and every client requires different levels of involvement from us. Every client is different too and that is why a quick phone call can answer many questions for both parties.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in my field and in Sociology. I was educated in the UK until the late 80's when I relocated to the USA. I am a member of the NKBA and an Industry Partner of ASID. I have been in this industry since 1998 and started my own business in 2001. I lived in AZ until five years ago where I worked for large remodeling companies and where I was fortunate enough to work under a Senior NKBA certified Kitchen & Bath Designer. I have all the technical and academic training but, what has really taken my experience to the next level are my years of field experience in projects that vary in size, budgets, and level of involvement.
