FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Typically I charge differently depending on the age of the student. With children it is more drilling and teaching in a fun and interactive way and being more hands on because they can't swim strongly yet.- depending on age and length of the session it can be about 25- 30 for an hour. For older swimmers who are comfortable enough to not need support in the water but are working on getting better in their technique or learning the other strokes I charge 25 an hour. If you are an adult that is just learning to swim and may need extra support (first I really commend you for taking the step to learn how to swim) I typically charge 35-40 an hour as it is more difficult to teach an adult in many ways.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I assess their swimming ability by asking them to demonstrate what they already know. Be it a kid doing doggy paddle or an adult who understands how to do free style stroke but needs work on their technique I need to see where we can improve together. I will typically always be in the water with my student to ensure not only safety but that I can properly demonstrate technique and body position.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified life guard and have been one for the past 8 years. I also was a certified swimming instructor for 5 years. I also was on a full ride swim scholarship to University and have trained many hours both in and out of the water to be the best swimmer I can be.
