FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard rates are $50.00 per hour, plus a $30.00 trip fee. Some services are flat rate. We give free estimates over the phone for most small jobs, and free onsite estimates for jobs of more then $500.00 in estimated labor cost. There are only a few types of work I do not perform. I don't do carpet installation or heating and air conditioning repair and installation. I am a professional, highly skilled craftsman and can perform virtually all types of repairs and improvements.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Upon our first contact I will discuss the work you want accomplished and get a thorough understanding of your requirements. I will prepare an estimate and review the estimate in detail with you, for your approval. I will explain the timeline of the work to be performed and receive the deposit money to purchase the required materials and begin the work. When the work is completed I will have you approve it and receive the final balance due for the work performed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have more then 25 years of experience in commercial and residential construction, remodeling, improvement, carpentry, plumbing, handyman, electrical, and landscaping trades. I have a certified Journeyman Carpenter qualification issued by the state of Nevada. I graduated from the four year United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners Apprenticeship training program in January of 2000 and with the equivalent Associate of Arts in Carpentry from the Community College of Southern Nevada the same year. I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Management Information Systems from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, with which I graduated Cum Laude in 2006.
