FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do offer discounts for military and veterans. I will waive my initial consultation fees for thumbtack customers. I do sometimes allow payment plans if the client will agree to an automatic debit program. Family law cases vary in cost a great deal. The more both sides agree upon the less expensive it will be. I have finished a divorce case for $750 and I have had one be as expensive as $20,000. The important thing is to be reasonable and rely on my advice as to what the Judge would be likely to do.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will meet with the client for an hour-long consultation. I will send you an intake form prior to the appointment and have you bring it to the consultation. We will review the law relevant to your case as well as the court process. If you want to proceed with me as your attorney we can start the case as soon as you would like.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am admitted and in good standing with the Kansas Bar and the Missouri Bar. I have training as a Guardian ad Litem and as a family law mediator. I have been practicing in family law for six years. I am also a child of a blended family so I have personal experience with family law matters.
