Stephany DeBerry was instrumental in helping us to be comfortable in moving forward with our home short sale. Without really knowing much about the process and procedures that entail a short sale, she was able to explain it to us and provided clear expectations. She understood our concerns and reservations in going this route but we knew we had to do it in order to get us back on the best financial path for us. As a realtor, she was extremely knowledgeable about the process. She remained the point of contact for the lender which allowed us to concentrate on getting the home ready for sale. She laid out expectations so we knew from the beginning that it could take time to get through such a process (even though ours did move fairly quickly and smoothly). Stephany DeBerry answered all of our questions and was available to speak to us any time...day or night. What we were impressed with the most, is that not only was she knowledgeable about the housing process and market in VA, but she was so understanding and helpful when things did not seem to move as quickly. She listened to all of our concerns and was able to relay those to the appropriate people such as the lender and/or buyers purchasing our home. I am paid by commission which is determined by the potential client when signing the contract for my services.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new client, I perform a consultation to learn more about their real estate needs. I prefer to meet in person, however I am open to the client's wishes.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have active real estate licenses in Virginia and Maryland. I also have taken additional classes to enhance my skill set.
