FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer reasonable rates for 30 minute sessions, and 1 hour sessions. Sessions are usually done privately, however if you would like two or more children to receive tutoring at the same time I offer a discount.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I work out of Lexington's Central Library Location at 140 E Main Street. Usually I will set up a meeting time where both the students and the parent(s) can get to know me before we begin any real tutoring sessions.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my B.A. in Liberal Studies from Bellarmine University, and I am now in my third year of the master's of education program at Georgetown College. I have been a babysitter and nanny for many families over the last eight years. I have taught preschool at The Lutheran School of Lexington, participated in two practicum placements in Fayette County, I've been a substitute teacher in Fayette Co. and I am now a teacher at Strode Station Elementary. I am certified in pediatric CPR and First Aid, and can provide a safe, engaging learning experience for children.
