I started singing in the year 2000. By 2006, I had achieved my voice and piano Grade Eight Certificates from ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) and Vocal Performance Certificate from the Trinity Guildhall Examination Board with Merit and Distinction. Being the Overall First Prize winner in the 2004 National Secondary School Singing Competition, I gained a full scholarship at the Malaysian Institute of Art. In 2007, I graduated with a Diploma in Music(major in voice and minor in piano) and was recognized with the Best Student award. During these seven years, I performed and won numerous prizes in Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Tokyo. With this international accomplishment, I transferred to the United States and accepted a full scholarship at Louisiana State University, where I completed, magna cum laude and 4.0 GPA, my Bachelor of Music in 2013, and Master of Music in 2015. I'm actively performing to challenge myself to be a better musician.
