Cheryl did amazing work in organizing my home. She designed two closets, my kitchen pantry and organized my entire home (including my office which was filled with thousands of papers) after my move. Her years of experience came in handy as she coached me through some difficult decisions of what to keep and what to donate. Cheryl is passionate and skilled in what she does. She does so much more than just organizing a person's things. She helps create a new way of thinking and living. My office was a complete mess. She helped me organize my physical items including my office, papers, books, accessories, memorabilia, etc. She also assisted me with my time management skills, so I could increase my productivity during my workday. She taught me how to move from paper filing to the computer and I realized I'm so much more comfortable with an online system! She also completely redesigned both of my closets! They are gorgeous and I can finally fit everything in them with extra room! She made what a chaotic and overwhelming mess into a calming and productive space. Game changer. Life changer. The BEST! Organization has always been a blind spot, throw a messy kid into the equation it's been chaos. Then Cheryl and her team came in and completely redesigned and revamped our closets, and storage spaces. Wow, what a difference ! Plenty of companies can organize and re-arrange things, but not actually take the time to THINK through the project and your needs after they leave. Just finished working with IT'S ORGANIZED to re-design and organize my home office and have nothing but positive things to say about my experience with Cheryl and Jordan! Working from home can be a challenge and over the years my office completely fell apart. I found myself overwhelmed by the clutter and it was effecting my work. They came to my house for a consult and presented workable solutions within my budget. I was impressed that they took the time to listen and understand business and organizational challenges. After a few meetings they were able to create incredible storage solutions and thoughtful filing systems. My desk is completely clutter free and all my products/samples have a home. They also created an easy system for me to follow as I continue to grow my buisness. I can honestly say their organizational solutions have improved my overall work productivity. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Yes, we offer both hourly rates as well as package rates depending on how much time it will take to complete your project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?We start off the relationship with a free phone conversation to discuss your area(s) of concern, discuss goals for your space, and answer any questions you may have. We will then meet for an in-person consultation in your home or office to determine the detailed scope of the work, the amount of time we estimate the project to take, and take appropriate measurements of your space. During the consult we ask a host of questions to determine your priorities are and how you live to insure we develop a plan that meets your specific needs. From here you can choose to schedule an organizing session(s) depending on the the number of hours it will take to complete the job. Following completion of the job, we follow up a month later to make sure everything is working for you!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Cheryl earned a Masters Degree and completed all Doctoral Degree coursework in Human Development/Organizational Behavior from Columbia University. She has also completed her National Association for Professional Organizers Coursework and has a Coaching Certification. With over 15 years of experience in large Fortune 500 companies, Cheryl worked as a leader of learning, organizational effectiveness, and leading change, where she worked with senior executives and their teams to maximize their effectiveness and performance. She is often invited to guest lecture across the U.S. to share her expertise in organizational behavior concepts. In addition to co-owning IT'S ORGANIZED, Cheryl is an Adjunct Professor of Organizational Behavior and Business Management, and has a professional certification in Coaching. With her vast background in understanding human behaviors, coaching, motivation and teaching methodology, she brings knowledge, experience and understanding to help others realize the benefits of being better organized. She can help you solve problems, overcome obstacles and reach your goals. Jordan earned her B.A. in Communications and Public Relations from the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland. She went on to become a leading publicist in the real estate industry representing companies across the country. For 15 years, she worked closely with some of the nation's premier real estate professionals including top architects, developers, designers and space planners providing her with a first-hand understanding of how to best utilize all types of residential and commercial spaces. This experience helped her seamlessly transition into a new role as a Manhattan-based professional organizer.
