I hired Maliabeth to sketch a picture of my father's beloved family dog Casper. He was a samoyed so it was definitely a challenge with all that hair! but Maliabeth managed capture not just his likeness, but his personality too. To this day it is my father's favorite father's Day present.Mar 5, 2018
I am so grateful for all my beautiful portraits that Maliabeth pours her heart and soul into. I first wanted a piece that would capture my children’s innocence and their life as toddlers. Maliabeth did not just paint beautiful children she went into depth and studied their expressions and personality traits. She captures that in the expression of their eyes. I couldn’t resist not having her capture my own personal portrait. As I unwrapped my portrait I couldn’t hold my emotions together my eyes filled with tears I was amazed with the detail and this women that she captures it was me in a painting.Feb 15, 2018
I had her make a custom gift Myself and a friend. I don’t know if she realizes how talented she is with her drawing. I sent her two photos to go off of and they were dead on. Having her transform a photo into a work of art is such a unique gift idea.Mar 25, 2018

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?$30 an hour to travel to your location if more than an hour away. Time tracker is used to keep track of every second on and off the clock. Client receives a detailed itemized list of each work session on invoice.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? All of my projects are approached with the same intimacy and professionalism. First I like to just listen to what your vision is. Ask what emotions you want to feel when you look at the mural, drawing, or painting. Once we find a baseline and a unified vision I compile reference materials. If it is a portrait; I requested photographs and videos of the client and studied them. I like videos because this is how I prefer to draw and paint subjects; moving. When that is captured they really come to life. Then I complete some sketches. And start a rough sketch for the final painting. Once you give the approval I do a rough watercolor painting of the final painting to decide color. Finally, canvas for the final project. I also do a video time lapse of all my projects.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?My grandmother is a accomplished artist in Arizona and was also an art professor at ASU. She taught me everything I know. And I have 20 years of on the job training.
