- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a Certified Personal Trainer with advanced Nutrition Certification, certification in Adult & Pediatric First Aid, CPR, & AED through the American Red Cross.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I wanted to do my part to eradicate the obesity epidemic in America so I went to college to become a physical education teacher while playing varsity soccer. I went on professional trials in Europe and didn't get a contract so I taught PE for 6 years in Louisville and then the Cayman Islands. Yes I was fortunate to live in Paradise for 4 years. But I realized that I wasn't able to make the impact on children's physical health since I didn't get kids every day or even every week. So I decided to become a personal trainer so I could make a significant change in a handful of individuals at a time. My goal is to help my clients learn the skills and discipline they need to reach their goals in the shortest and safest time frame.
