FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Although the market dictates the total cost per square foot of a roof replacement, it is important to note that you should always require an in person inspection of your roof before obtaining pricing from any contractor. As an example, the market value for a walkable shingle roof may range from $350-$500 per square, however unforeseen factors such as the slope, steep details, and number of roofs can increase the cost of the roof replacement dramatically. A shingle roof that has two roofs installed can cost double the amount per square because of the amount of dumpsters, slower production rate, and other factors. Please require that your contractor of choice visit your property to assess the roof in person.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Upon request, we schedule an estimator to call you to discuss the current issues you are experiencing with your roof system. During the phone consultation we may ask for your address to pull your property up on satellite view, so that we can determine the slope of your roof, count penetrations, look for safety concerns, etc. Sometimes we can advise on an approximate cost for replacements this way, however a final proposal will be drafted upon an onsite inspection. Once the phone consultation has taken place, we will schedule an onsite visit with you. Upon arriving onsite, we will set up a ladder and inspect the roof for defects and determine the best value for you to move forward. If minor repairs are needed, we may provide you with a quotation onsite to fix the areas of concern. If a full replacement is recommended then we will provide you with a quote within 24 hours from the date of assessment.
