What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first Personal Training session with a new client consists of discussing personal goals, their fitness background, take measurements, and make recommendations, then build a program based on the clients needs, and complete a workout. Online Training clients will receive a welcome email with instructions on how to submit an assessment and picture. Then the client will receive a customized 30 day program and Meal Plan (when applicable) within 24-48hours.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been employed with 24 Hour Fitness for 2 years and certified with the National Association for Fitness.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was struggling with living an unhealthy lifestyle so I decided to put use to my gym membership and fell in love with my physical and mental progress. Shortly after management of my home gym acknowledged my improvement and dedication and offered me a position as a trainer.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have experience working with adolescents, small groups, obese, injured, clients without a fitness background and those with an advanced fitness level. I utilize Steady State Progressive Programming and gradually incorporate High Intensity Programs with a combination of supersets, circuits, and various systems so you will be able to gradually achieve results minus the torture!
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I am currently exploring options to expand my independent personal training into gym ownership. Although, I also consider training an ongoing project similarly to the fitness lifestyle it requires ongoing dedication, structure, and patience.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would advise a customer to learn the providers' training style prior to hiring.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I believe a customer should make sure the professional is knowledgeable and ask for the providers' credentials and/or experience.
