To preface, our luck with movers in Miami-Dade historically has been poor so our expectations were somewhat low. Thankfully, all worked out well in this situation.
The movers were slightly late which wasn't a huge issue as we were not in a huge time crunch. The movers were fine though, a few minor scratches on some of our wooden furniture which was disappointing but not the end of the world. One of the movers was on the phone frequently but finished within the expected time (3 hours) so was not too bothered. When I initially set up the move, I was told no hidden fees or extra costs which seems to be the norm with movers in Miami. As expected, when the final tally came we were hit with additional charges including some tape charges and an extra hour since the movers had worked into the 4th hour. After negotiating with the phone issue and the furniture dings, the charges were brought back to the original quote.
All in all, not a bad experience. The movers were friendly, courteous, and worked to get everything done within the time frame we expected. The rate was reasonable and nothing was damaged beyond repair, lost, or stolen. Would certainly use Miami Movers again but will make better preparations for our wooden furniture and boxes to facilitate an easier move.

This is not a real family moving company as stated to me. I asked for a quote based on the cubic square footage, weight, stairs and # of stops. I did not receive a quote until 11:57 p.m. The movers were 90 minutes late. Two men were, both disheveled and in no physical shape to be able to move any furniture. I tried to reach Miami Movers several times to request a new crew. No response. The movers were rude, refused to use the guest bathroom and used my personal bathroom. The police were called on three occasions. 1st by my Storage personnel, 2nd and 3rd times by myself when I tried to fire them and just pay them for the work they had done thus far. They held my things hostage on their truck until they received nearly $1,000. The police had to negotiate the transaction to reduce the price and handle the transfer of money. I can go on and on but the worst was that Miami Movers was not available to discuss to help resolve the situation. I am waiting a phone call. Even when things escalated with the police they were unresponsive. I was hustled and plan to take civil action. This company should not be in business.
