- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Moves that are under 31 miles in distance are considered "local" and are billed hourly. The estimating process for a local move is generally done over the phone in less than 10 minutes. Any move 31 miles and longer in distance will be considered to be "long-distance". We offer guaranteed estimates for these moves that are based on inventory and final price is determined by weight. You never pay more than what is agreed upon, even if the weight is more than anticipated.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When you call Handy Guys, you can expect to be greeted by a live person, not a recording. A service representative will work closely with you throughout the entire moving process. The representative will usually want to schedule a date and time to come make a visual inspection and take and inventory of your move, depending on size and number of items, to be able to provide the most accurate estimate possible. Once we have your move day scheduled, our representative will check in with you along the way just to see if we can answer any packing questions or make any changes.
