FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Let's talk! Goals are incredibly important - flexibility is important too, but goals have to come first. Let's find out what you like and what you want to accomplish. That helps me guide our lessons. If you want to get great at a certain type of rock piano, the rudimentary exercises will differ greatly from the ones I'll give you for jazz or classical. Same goes for any instrument, or style of music, or even songwriting.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor of Music from Berklee College of Music (Magna Cum Laude) with a double major in Contemporary Writing & Production, and Songwriting.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began giving lessons when I was in high school, and have worked my way up to having private students, as well as giving instructions in classes in various settings. Most recently I taught at Berklee's Summer Songwriting Workshop and also at Camp Davis in Nashville.
