Mr. Lucas of Still Moving Films was a pleasure to work with. His professionalism in dealing with a large group of people created an atmosphere that made the experience enjoyable for everyone. He was patient, understanding, sociable, and had a sense of humor, traits needed in dealing with a large group of people. The photos I received were excellent and captured what I wanted. John Lucas and I have worked together for nearly 10 years. If I ever need a photographer, I hire him because he is so much more than a photographer. He an artist with a photojournalist eye. No job is too big or too small and he captures not only the beauty of the event, he captures the feeling. John is easy to work with, works quickly and decisively and turns around photos really fast. He is also is an extremely talented documentary film maker who understands his subjects and portrays them poignantly. Not only do I recommend John as a photography and film maker but as a human being. He's the real deal.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't have a standard pricing system. I do like to work for a flat rate. I want the client to know exactly what it will cost them out the door for the services they desire. I'm not interested in hidden costs or charging extra for cleaning up images or burning images to disc or for "extra" post production on video.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have an initial phone chat so I can get a real sense of what the client needs. I'm a people person. i have been working as a commercial photographer and videographer for over 25 years. I want to make the client feel comfortable that they hired the right person that will get the imagery they want. I like to take the stress out of the client-professional hiring process.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started out as a studio assistant while I attended college for photojournalism. I was hired full time by the owner so left my undergraduate studies to work as a commercial photographer. After 10 years working in a commercial studio I opened my own studio. I have owned and operated by business In Ohio, New York City and for the past 10 years in southern California.
