FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a very fair price for the quality of service I provide.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet with the customer and talk about the piece of furniture they would like to repair. I give my best advice for what may need to be done and the work and materials cost involved. I can come up with multiple solutions to solve a problem within a budget. Projects are usually returned within three weeks. Unless it is a large project. I pick up and deliver.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My family owns a cabinet company called Maras and Sons. My father is a master furniture builder and cabinet maker. My shop is a part of a larger shop that my father operates. I learned and continue to learn wood working from him. I also have had employment and tutelage under Shad Weathersby. There I learned from master touch up artist Hoan Nguyen. Through Weathersby I repaired, rebuilt, re-carved 100's of projects over 5 years.
