Introduction: Caitlin has been working as a makeup artist in the bridal, fashion, commercial, and advertising industries of New York City for the last decade. Her top priority is to ensure that her client feels her best. She believes her client should wear the makeup – not the other way around – and specializes in natural, classic looks that emphasize the client’s best features. She understands that makeup created to look good in person does not always translate well to photos, where bright camera flashes have a tendency to wash out the makeup. Caitlin specializes in creating this balance, where you can have the best of both worlds with just the right amount of makeup. PLEASE NOTE: I do not apply airbrush makeup. Caitlin did my makeup and bridesmaids makeup for my wedding in May 2014. Not only was she extremely professional but fun and easy going which made a very stressful day much better. I feel so lucky that I found Caitlin to do my wedding makeup. It is such a stressful time and she made me feel calm,comfortable and beautiful! I wish she could have been a guest lol! Caitlin did the make up for my wedding and she did the most amazing job! I wanted a natural look and was really worried about the foundation looking heavy in the photos. Caitlin was so easy to communicate with and understood exactly what I wanted. She kept the look so light and even taught me a few tricks for my eye makeup that I plan to use going forward. My bridesmaids loved her too. She was so easygoing and was a positive, beautiful, and calming presence throughout the morning. Most importantly, I felt like the prettiest version of myself on the most important day of my life, and I would recommend Caitlin's makeup services to any bride on her wedding day.

Caitlin did my make-up for my wedding. We talked ahead of time over the phone about the look I wanted and the specifics of my skin tone, time of day and setting of the ceremony. I wanted a natural dewy look and don't usually wear a lot of face coverage. I was getting married outside so didn't want to be too glam. We exchanged Pinterest pictures and I sent her a picture of my skin without make-up. The day of she was professional, prompt, and came with all the supplies she needed. She set up a relaxing workstation outdoors so that we would have the same lighting as during the ceremony. She finished with time to spare and was open to feedback along the way. She asked me if it was the way I wanted at each step, eyes, face coverage, contouring and lips. I had so many compliments on my make-up at the wedding, specifically that my skin "was just glowing", which was exactly what I wanted. I would recommend her for bridal or any occasion that you want to look and feel your best.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1) Connect via phone or email to discuss any questions/concerns that clients have regarding their wedding makeup, as well as desired looks. 2) I typically ask for a photo so that I can familiarize myself with a clients' skin tone and complexion. 3) I recommend that my clients send me inspiration so that we can align on exactly what they are looking for. 4) We arrange a wedding trial, or, if they choose to skip the trial, I will send the wedding contract to be signed. 5) I travel to clients for makeup trial or wedding day makeup *Bride will typically take 1.5 to 2 hours
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I trained with various professional makeup artists at the start of my career in the early 2000's.
