Let's break it down with some examples with other conversations with previous clients.
Client: HI! I have a 3bedroom 2bath apartment with a few roomates but you don't need to touch the rooms, only the common areas!:). Can we lower the price?
Me: HI! So unfortunately it is hard for us to lower the price because the wet rooms are the hardest part of the job. Essentially it will take us 10 minutes to do each room since 9 times out of ten is very small and not much to do versus the bathroom takes upwards of 30-45min of cleaning. 30min-hour for kitchen,30+min of livingroom, vacuuming and floors. When there is multiple people living in the home it's more dirtier as those roommates have friends, girlfriends, the neighborhood dog comes by for a pupacino. You get the picture. Unless your honest with us and say you are very very clean people and we will try our hardest to take it with a grain of salt.. Simply other people messed that up for us so we need pictures.
Another example:
Client: HI! I just want the kitchen done and nothing else!
*BACKBURNER*Client put in a quote for a 5bed 3bath and the system quotes the job for 300$ and Thumbtack is not sophisticated enough to READ YOUR DETAILS so it thinks you essentially want EVERYTHING CLEANED!!! So Thumbtack charges us over 50$. If the kitchen is worth about 80$ or so to clean (again depending on situation the most I have ever charged for a kitchen was up to 600$)
So how can we make a profit? We can't.. No you cannot generate a new quote because we will be DOUBLE CHARGED. If we have availability we will try to accomadate and help. Pictures are great. We have products that bombs out roaches as well.
Client: HIYA! I NEED A CLEANING DONE IN AN HOUR MY CLEANING LADY BROKE HER FOOT. BUT I CHARGED HER 70$ AND THATS ALL I CAN AFFORD.
Me: That's going to be $200+ because I have to take an Uber. Sorry.
CLIENT: WHAT IF YOU COME TOMORROW?(:
ME: -.-
Client: HELLO!!! I want to watch everything that you do and I'm very peculiar about every single thing. And I only want you to clean with vinegar and water especially the bathroom, there is some mold too!!
Me: We are booked until next year.
Client: Hello! We have 4 dogs in our house and they are a lab, husky and a pug! We want a cleaning!
Me: So it's going to to be a little higher than the quote listed.
Client: It's says 30$ for pet cleaning, is it more?
Me: That's for one dog. Or 2 cats. If more we charge more.
Client: OH then forget it. They don't shed THAT MUCH.
Me: -.-
I've worked in a dog daycare over a year. Once a husky farts it sheds. We know where to clean and how to clean when it comes to pets as we own some as well. We use alot of papertowels and rags when it comes to pets it gets all over us and then we come home to a jealous pet. We can work with you but it's going to be a little higher as we do move furniture around to get to the hard to reach areas where hair does accumalate.
I can probably make up to 5 pages of client to pro conversations but I won't take up too much of your time. We are here to help but stupid questions gets stupid answers.

We have people specialize in flooring. We have people in our company that check on elderly if needed. We have cleaners that do catering as well.

I've had clients that requested an extra help in finding the right cleaning products. Even the most sensitive was a bother for them like Honest and Method. It does not have a REAL scent. So one day I went to my dearest client with a jar full of Ginger slices,Lemon with witch hazel. She absolutely loved the subtle smell and she requests it monthly! I have been doing this with long term clients and it's becoming a hit so i'm trying this out with the public! We are slowly but surely taking requests on what you would like in your cleaning solution for a fee! Base solutions are Witch Hazel, Peroxide, Vinegar, Florida Water, Kananga Water, Alcohol and other blessed waters (If I can find!! And need more than a week heads up so it can sit and marinate the goodness!! We would have to speak over the phone for this request!) for move in cleaning for blessings or just need to spruce up your home! :) I do not walk around with my at home products so please ask what would you like and I can prepare it! Summer/Spring time is best but I do carry some herbs in my apothecary cabinet as well for winter. I have an abundance of herbs so just ask!:)
We personally make sage,rosemary,lavender,thyme,roses,etc. bundles with our kids to bring pure innocence and joy to the home!
