Language and Culture for All
Introduction: French is my mother tongue. And Spanish was the language I was speaking with my extended family. I have been teaching and translating for more than ten years in both languages. I am also taking students on cultural and art trips around New York to reproduce the immersive experience one gets in a foreign country.
I am seeing language as the perfect opportunity to open brains and minds to different cultures, customs, ways of thinking and ultimately people.
I am also involved in marketing, communications and have a great visual sense.

I really enjoy my experience there! The instructor was always prepared for the class; there's always a curriculum & structure. Even though the French class was 2 hours long, it didn't feel that long because the class was always fun & informative - very interactive!
The teacher was always patient and took note of each student's strength & weaknesses, which is crucial because we really want to improve our French language skills!

I took private French lessons with Laurence for 6 months. Learning a new language can be intimidating, but only after a few sessions I was easily able hold a conversation about daily life. Towards the end of our sessions, I traveled to France and was delighted by how easily I was able to communicate with and understand native French speakers. With Laurence, you will not only learn a language but get a real-live immersion in European culture. I highly recommend not only her teaching skills, but also her kindness and her sense of humor.

Laurence is a wonderful teacher who I would recommend to anyone. She goes above and beyond for her students and actually executes on her exciting ideas. With Laurence, you'll take what you learn to places outside the traditional classroom, which I think is the best way to learn.

Laurence is amazing and I could not be more delighted with my entire experience with her!!! She puts a ton of work into every session we have and every event she hosts and makes the effort to tailor each subject we cover to things that she knows I like so that it is always interesting as well as instructive and educational. She is extremely engaging and authentic and our lessons are always a lot of fun! She sets an exceptionally high bar for everything she does and I hope to continue working with her for years to come!
