Akeel has been an amazing mentor for me. He is very good at math and has helped me work through the problems I had in school. He is very persistent and thorough with the problems and their solutions. He will not just teach you a solution to the problem, he will make sure that you KNOW and UNDERSTAND the concept and how to solve similar questions. When I said I wanted to start a new topic, he handwrote bunch of problems and examples to make it simple and understandable for beginners. He also always motivated me to go on brilliant.org (a math problems related website for practice) and enhance my mathematical skills. He is always challenging his students and himself to do better. I will attach a few images of his work to show how much effort he puts into his teaching.

When raising a child it is imperative to find people and tools to help them reach their goals. My son was struggling last year to adapt to junior high especially in math. After looking at many tutoring options we decided to go with a one on one private tutoring approach. Luckily after a month of interviews and searching we found Mr.Howell. Not only has the quality of attention to detail been great in his lesson structure but Akeel has also built a real rapport with my son. Which was important to me as well. He looks forward to tutoring session and I’m glad to say after failing the first semester of 6th grade he has average in the mid 80s ever since Mr. Howell was came onboard.He is exemplar of what education professional should be.
