Introduction: NYC is an amazing yet stressful place to live, and despite millions of people (or maybe because of) it can be quite lonely. I have been a licensed therapist for over 25 years and I would really like to meet you and work with you as a team to feel better, be more productive, have happier days, and better relationships. I only accept cash and although qualified, prefer not to be in network with insurance companies. Sessions are conveniently every other week and cost $70.00/session (thus comparable to weekly sessions at $35, close to the usual insurance copay). What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Sessions are 70 dollars and we meet every other week ( this is then equal to paying an insurance copay weekly). Although qualified, I choose not to take insurance and accept cash only. This elongates a lot of red tape and improves the level of confidentiality.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Introducing myself, Doing an assessment, developing a therapeutic alliance, agreeing to a plan for therapy and goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
MA in Creative Arts Therapy, MSW in Clinical Social work from NYU. LCSW-R (Licensed Clinical Social Work, Registered ( ie licensed to practice psychotherapy).
