About this pro
JaeBelle Photography went above and beyond my expectations. I wear transition lens, but wanted to do an outdoor session. Janelle completed the task with amazing results. We also ran in to a few unforseen obstacles during our shoot and she handled them very professional. She has a great personality and made the shoot very comfortable.Dec 5, 2017Verified
She was such a joy to work with! During our shoot she did not once rush us at all to get the pictures done. She worked really well with our newborn baby to get all the pictures we asked for even when he started to get fussy she let us take breaks to feed him with no issues. We even had spurts where he wouldn't stop crying unless he had his pacifier in, and Jae worked around it to were we still got great pictures. We had a slight issue when we received our disk with the pictures. It turned out we didn't receive them all and Jae immediately sent out a replacement with no issues! Her pricing is fantastic compared to other photographers out there trying to charge the same for way less amount of the pictures. We were able to set up a shoot with barely any notice to Jae, so I'm thankful for that. I will definitely be using her for pictures in the future. Thank you!!Oct 4, 2016Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My portrait services range in price from $200-400, based on how many "looks" a client needs, how many hours it will take to shoot the photos (example: headshots can take as little as an hour but newborn photography is usually 2.5-4 hours, so newborn packages cost more), and how much post-processing is needed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to find out what style of photography a client is looking for: do they want lots of traditional posed photos? More journalistic, candid work? A combination? And then we discuss whether they want props, any outfits or accessories provided, and whether they want studio or outdoor photos. My personal favorite is outdoor, candid work but I have plenty of backdrops and such to do studio portraits if the weather doesn't cooperate or if a client just prefers studio.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I majored in Photography at LSU, so I have a BFA and I worked at the school newspaper and a professional portrait studio in college. 4 of my 5 years of photography training was with film & film processing and the remainder with digital. Post college, I worked for a wedding photography studio that is based out of Baton Rouge but does weddings all over the South, about 1000 events annually; and then when I moved to Atlanta I continued to work with a fashion photographer to further learn different industry standards. I am a member of multiple photography guilds and professional learning groups so that I can further my skills and stay on top of the current trends.
