FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Appointments are $95 for an hour treatment. Your initial 90-minute appointment will be $150. If you'd like, I will provide a receipt or superbill so that you can seek reimbursement from your insurance company or through your HSA or FSA program.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before we first meet, I will ask you to fill out a health history form so that we can focus your treatment on your main concerns. Your initial appointment will be about 90 minutes long so that we can discuss all aspects of your health before beginning treatment. I will then give you an acupuncture treatment, which will last about 20-30 minutes. Afterwards we will discuss continued care for you, which might be future acupuncture sessions, prescription of Chinese herbs, dietary advice, or other recommendations.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. During that time I was certified as a Shiatsu (massage) practitioner, and also took classes from Chinese medical experts on acupuncture techniques and Chinese medical obstetrics and gynecology. I treated patients in a variety of clinical settings during my training.
