FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In some cases, I am required to give an hourly rate, in those cases I use $50.00 per hour as a standard rate. However, I will always be willing to work with you on cost; as I want you to be happy, not only with the excellent quality of my work, but the cost as well. If the job requires parts, I charge no overhead, and in most cases, I can get free shipping on parts that I don’t have in stock.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to talk to my clients. I usually don't give any type of quote until I speak with you. This is because there are times when it is something unexpectedly simple, and I can just tell you how to correct the issue. Also, there is really no way to give an accurate bid without asking some probing questions, at the least; it is much easier to do this on the phone. Most times I can price the parts (if need) and give you an estimate right then; although sometimes I will need to diagnose your computer (often, this can be done remotely), of course. I usually get parts within two business days, and can have your computer repaired the following business day.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have repaired, upgraded, and built computers for many years. Currently I am pursuing a BS in Computer Information Systems (yes, it was on my bucket list) at Bellevue University of Nebraska; I am a 4th year student and hold a 3.9 GPA.
