FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer two prices and 3 options. To come to your house or meet at another place, I charge $55/hour. To meet online via a free program that allows the student and me to share screens and converse, or meet in my home, I charge $40/hour. I can be flexible about pricing when travel is involved; the price depends on the travel time.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
New students or their parents contact me. We discuss the tutoring parameters (price, frequency, times, duration, location). I ask about their status, previous results and how they feel about learning and being tutored. We agree on a time and place to meet.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors degree in Mathematics and Philosophy (2 majors) and an MBA. I earned my Bachelors at the University of California, Riverside (a top 100, R1 public university) and my MBA from the The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (main campus), a top 10 (USA; top 25 International) graduate and undergraduate business program. I was certified to teach mathematics in Massachusetts, where I taught for 4 years, and in Florida, where I taught for 1 year.
