FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Most typically, on a residential project, we charge an hourly rate. We do have several payment structures dependent on the project, however.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we like to meet with our clients in their project space. Sometimes we consult with a client for a couple of hours, bounce ideas off of each other, and then develop an "interior design roadmap" for our clients to use and complete their project. For some clients, that is the end of our process, for others we will continue to work with them on their project for the entire duration of the design. Each client has a unique style and as such, we are flexible on how the design process works for each project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As lead designers, we led former intense careers as a Labor and Delivery nurse and an attorney, respectively. Such extensive schooling, highly demanding, and at times, stressful jobs gave us the skill set to manage projects large or small in an efficient manner while still remaining keenly cognizant of even the slightest details. Several years ago, we realized that our side projects that we did for friends and family, and our constant need to rearrange, reorganize and redesign could actually be parlayed into a career. As self-taught designers and self-described "nerds," we are constantly surrounding ourselves with design-related resources including trade shows, interior designer networks, and various continuing education classes.
