Fenton Online Math Tutoring

Introduction: As a classroom teacher, I absolutely loved the one-on-one time I got to spend helping children with their work. I would often give up my lunch or prep time, before or after school in order to help them succeed. It was during this time that I realized how much progress I was able to make when working independently with students! It became my dream to figure out a way to do this as my career. I love seeing the excitement when I light bulb goes off in a young mind! Fast forward to last year, and I started my tutoring business to pursue this dream. I have worked for a "big box" tutoring companiy in the past, and I disliked that they use the one size fits all approach to learning. That is just not the case! Each child learns in their own way and all teaching should reflect that. Every single lesson I create for your child is customized to their needs. Already mastered a topic? We don't need to cover it! Struggling with another? We will go in-depth until it is mastered! I learn about how your child learns best and plan my lessons from there. I may be teaching two kiddos the same topic, but the lessons will look totally different! I absolutely love helping a child make something "click". I have known since the third grade that I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. It was not until I started teaching that I realized my passion for helping struggling learners. They CAN succeed if given the right tools. One of these tools may be independent learning time. I love when a student opens up and becomes comfortable asking questions that they may not want to ask in front of their peers. It has been and will always be my passion to educate our youth!
