Having over 2 decades of experience, I have developed a system to keep my students motivated and always setting and achieving new goals. "Just having fun playing music" is a goal, just as much as winning a piano, voice, or guitar jury or competition. I make sure to listen to each of my students and work to his/her strengths while guiding him/her to new levels of playing. We do a lot of laughing while working hard.

Emi is a well trained and talented classical pianist. She can play anything from classical to jazz, funk and rock. She has a dynamic personality and a particular knack for teaching through creating trust and a personal connection. I have observed her teach and bring out the best in small children through adults.

I hired Emi to teach my two daughters piano and voice. Now three and a half years later, my older daughter is writing her own songs and wants to pursue music in college. Emi is really patient, professional, fun and inspiring. She's made playing music a regular thing in our house - practicing piano is something my girls love to do! I would definitely recommend Emi as a teacher for anyone who wants to play music.
