I owe MPC and my trainer Jennifer an apology for not posting this review sooner. Several months ago I sought out a personal trainer through Thumbtack as a last stitch effort to redeem the failures of other PTs I’ve worked with in the past, all of whom failed to address my specific fitness needs. I’ve been struggling with arthritis for many years & so far PTs have been unable to work around my arthritic flare ups. I chose Matador after reading their reviews & success with placing clients with the right trainer so I decided to give them a shot. My PT Jennifer is great! With her valuable knowledge & guidance I am starting to see my body transform and the best part is I can actually finish a session without feeling so much pain from my arthritis. She’s always varying my workouts so I never get bored. I’ve frequented many gyms trying to find one I can call home, at Matador I found it! MPC has the environment I like & the trainers there are genuine and really work hard to whip you into shape. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Our pricing is based on the industry standard & most popular option of a 1 hr. long, one-on-one personal training session. However there are two additional and affordable alternate options to chose from: 30 minutes, 1-on-1 sessions or partner/duet, 1 hr. sessions.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?We conduct an initial, FREE assessment to identify current level of fitness and design an individualized workout regimen to suit client needs, fitness level, areas of concern and address desired goals. We begin with simple exercise tests to establish a starting point and progress by incorporating different movements and exercises while keeping your health, safety & personal best interest always at the forefront.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Our personal trainers hold current personal training, strength & conditioning, CPR certification and professional liability insurance from top organizations i.e. ACE (American Council on Exercise), NASM (National Academy of Sport Medicine), NSCA (National Strength & Conditioning Association), among others.
