FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
If I am traveling to the students home, furtherst I will go is 12 miles. I work around Friendswood, Clear Lake, Deer Park, Pasadena, and Pearland. I start at $20/hourly. When we meet at a local place that is less travel time, it's $15/hourly.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I'm working with new customers, 1) Interveiw time is essential! I love getting to know people, their likes and dislikes, their feelings on the subject we will work with, and flexibility in their schedule. 2) The Journey- It's important to remember that taking baby steps every day is key to achieving a goal. It's not where you're going it's the journey you take! 3) Clear Communication- What's expected on the Tutor's part and also the student! As a tutor, the main job is to teach and be a support system, not to do all of the work. 4) Establishment of Work- Personally, I like to know in advance when I will be tutoring (day and time) but we don't live in a perfect world. Both parties should be understanding of one another's schedule.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have passed both exams offered in High School Advanced Spanish 1 and 2. Currently taking Advanved Spanish 3 + 4 in college. Plus, my whole family and I have grown up with Spanish as our primarily language!
