placed an add oh here looking for a photographer to take pics monthly for my social media accounts. Delia told me for $150 i could get 40 pics a month with a 45 min weekly shoot which was perfect.so we have been discussing this over some time a few months. so the final plan was we would have a big photo shoot and i would do hair and also have my shoot included which was fine.the night before the shoot she sends me this contract and now its $150 for 15 pics a month which 15 pics i post that in one or 2 days. Now all of a sudden i have to upgrade to the $275 package for 30 pics.to make a long story short she said she went up in price in Jan and NEVER relayed this price increase to me.she states she was honoring the original package, which is bs because it went from 40 photos a month for $150 to 15 a month unless i upgrade. She also tried to say that she and I both dont have time for a weekly shoot because we had issues meeting in the past. But if I paid you I will make time and if i am paying you for your service that you advertise how will you NOT have time??? Had i not read her contract i would have never picked up on this.Beware and go over your contract with a very fine toothed comb!!! Luckily I was able to find someone in the 12th hour to get the job done.............response No i was not offered a free photoshoot for magazine pics. I just found out about the magazine on monday and I told you that from the pics i was PAYING for on Friday my publicist was going to send one to a magazine!!that does not equal free...Im paying for the pics and can use them how I like, it was a so-called bloggers package!!!Apr 13, 2018Verified
** Dont expect a lot. ** I had a daytime event inside the restaurant where the lighting was poor. She clicked almost a 1000 pictures but barely used flash in a quarter of them, consequently, the photos were dark. my friends with iphones clicked better pictures. Whats the point of hiring a pro, if my photos will look dark ( for those who know this , the ISO was atleast 3200-6400 ). She sent me a bunch of unedited pics ( about 600 of them, removing all the blurry and unaesthetic ones ). Again, whats the point if I have to spend hours editing 600 pictures ? Then , because the ISO was so high, when i tried to fill light in it, the pictures looked grainy. I will add an example here, but most of the other pictures looked just like that. may be about 100 pictures were ok , that didnt need any editing. Also , she took mostly candid shots and a few shots when she was told to do it. Wasnt too creative. A few of the shots had me or my wife or my parents totally cut out of the pic. I love candid photos but dont go SO CANDID that you lose the focus of the event ( the hosts themselves). Otherwise, Delia was prompt, punctual and professional. She was courteous and offered to help set up everything. The photos were delivered within 2-3 days. But all these good qualities tend to take a backseat when you are not good at what you are supposed to be , clicking and editing. Disclaimer - the photos i uploaded here are the worst ones, not the best ones. but these are just to prove my point.Dec 4, 2017
