I listed every item I needed to move. Was told he had a small truck and trailer but I had no idea it was so small. He said he had 2 other helpers. One was a young woman who did not help moving but basically supervised movements. They did NOT know how to get furniture through door, had to discuss it between themselves and at times,my husband told them how! They were told how to put furniture on trailer as well. They had no idea. I think IT was their first job! It took forever. This move was only 20 minutes away from where they loaded. I asked if they could help load another washer on to my truck, I wanted to swap out washers. He said yes but it wasnt done. They lost two kenmore stove knobs on ride and they are from a vintage stove. Also, the kenmore name emblem on my refrigerator door is gone. This truly upsets me......I will never find these parts for sale. They also broke a glass wall tile(ALSO NO LONGER AVAILABLE.)while moving a wardrobe downstairs and i found pieces of the wood on my floor. They were not professional, and not good at all. The trailer is the kind one has to haul a mower in! His truck is SMALL, a 110, I think. This job took 5/6 hours and my husband paid him what was agreed upon,325.00 BUT after they left, I noticed the door emblem and then husband told me about the glass tile being broken , I was angry. They never finished taking what was on my list and although I had asked him if he would do a second trip, he said yes.......BUT on the day of the move, his helper had to go .......they couldnt do the second run! I texted him and told him I feel he did NOT live up to the agreement and request he refund me 100 dollars. After all, they never finished what was agreed upon to be moved. He did NOT fullfill the agreement. He refuses to send me a refund. I tried looking for stove knobs and they are not cheap. I could not find what I need though. My stove is 40years old. Store replacement knobs dont fit.......I already tried them. I was ripped off. I am only asking for 100$$ back, I think that is fair since he did NOT complete the move and did NOT full fill the agreement. We did. We paid what he asked for and we should not have done that!Do NOT hire this man.They really have no clue how to pack, how to place , how to protect furniture. I swear, this was his first time out and the trailer is a joke....I figured it was a concealed trailer. This had two side rails on all sides....and very low . I worried about furniture falling over side if he slammed on his brakes. This man OWES me. I do NOT enjoy being ripped off. The two stove knobs lost were not on on as tight as the other two BUT it took a pretty good tug to yank them off. The stove should have been protected.....and IF he had a decent solid trailer, wihl walls and a solid floor, the knobs would have been inside the trailer. Things do fall off during moves and if I had known his tiny trailer was this little open sided "cart", I would have not chosen him.
