My general rate for an event runs about $50 an hour
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Well to start off my parents are professional clowns, and have taught me how to twist balloons. I have a undergrad and a masters in education. Served about 20 years working in summer and resident camps. Traveled around the country for the last 10 years teaching outdoor environmental education. I'm passionate about teaching and enjoy working with kids of all ages.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I am originally from Michigan and every year as I traveled home to visit my folks, (who are clowns as mentioned above) they would teach me a new balloon creation; such as a dog or sword or baseball hat. Over the years I've come up with a whole repertoire of things that I can make. About two years ago I was approached by someone who encouraged me to start my own business as a vendor/entertainer at the Downtown Phoenix Public Market, and that is where it all started.
