Introduction: An applied linguist specializing in language instruction, cultural training and test preparation, I have taught foreign languages at the college level in the US for over 20 years and have done language tutoring for 15. Natasha has been my tutor for two years now. I have learned with her more Spanish than I did in all the years of my high school. She is the best tutor I've had: very professional and knowledgeable, patient and personable. My lessons with her are always fun. She is enthusiastic and supportive about my learning the language. She helped me understand the differences between the Preterit and Imperfect, and also the Subjunctive in Spanish. She provided useful examples to show the contrasts and use of these concepts in real language, and created meaningful contexts for me to practice them in writing and verbally.
