Introduction: Motivational speaker, Anne-Marie Alderson, is an endurance athlete and an engaging, energetic and inspiring speaker who challenges her audiences—from Executives to students—to take on new challenges with a strategic mindset, overcome obstacles, and achieve their “EPIC”. Drawing on her experiences from the Race Across the West (an 863 mile bicycle race through Califormia, Arizona, Utah and Colorado), she illustrates practical concepts and tools anyone can implement to reach their EPIC in business, sports, or their personal life. Anne-Marie takes pride in sharing her personal story of achievement and in encouraging others to go after their dreams and goals -- even when there are obstacles to overcome. She shares a 3-step framework that the audience can apply to approaching any goal, no matter how daunting and no matter their age or position.

Anne-Marie Alderson spoke to my class of seniors in high school. She was very motivating and did well connecting with the students. During her speech, she shared her story of physical endurance preparing and taking part in a long-distance race. Anne-Marie was able to incorporate my student's experiences with hers to be able to make her journey applicable to that of my students. The guidance and advise she provided in sharing her Epic journey was a great way to send off these graduating seniors.

Anne-Marie is a high energy and passionate motivational speaker. My organization sought her out as a guest speaker for a leadership series we had been conducting with driven high school groups. These youth were engaged in her presentation content and style about overcoming unavoidable trials in attaining their "epic." I recall a student, at the end of one of Anne-Marie's presentations, proudly commenting about the parallels of her life to the speaker's and her newfound desire to accomplish some of the same feats that were just shared.
