FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't charge for travel time, but I do require a four hour minimum per visit for clients who are more than 35 minutes outside of Lexington.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I generally start with an in-person consultation for a hands-on project. Alternatively, I'll meet with a virtual client in a planned phone interview, as these clients are usually a distance away. These interviews are an opportunity for us to identify the project and the expected results, and to create an intial plan to begin. The initial consultation is at no-charge. When we are working on the project itself, we'll start with a review of the last visit. Then we'll identify what the expected results of the day are. And finally, we'll end with a review of what work will be completed on the next work day. I can do hands-on work independantly, but I much prefer to work with side-by-side in partnership with the client. This helps me to better understand the issues, and to learn what has or hasn't worked in the past. And in the process, the client learns great organizing skills and can see how they can use these skills in other areas.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have completed an intensive course in Organizer Coaching. This course is certified by the ICF (International Coaching Federation). I am a former member of NAPO (National Association of Professional Organizers) and continue to follow the ethics and policies of this organization.
