FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I like to work with the clients on pricing as I like to make our services affordable. Simple portraits start at $250, more complex shoots like events/weddings start at $650. These prices include editing but not intensive retouching.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I only consider assignments where I am confident we can do a great job for the prospective client. If an inquiry about our services is made, I will provide as much information as possible to ensure that we are a good match before committing. We will agree terms before locking in the shoot date and I will expect a deposit to hold the date. We sign a simple deal memo so that we are all aware of the basic principles of how the shoot will serve the best interests of the event. I love to meet with the clients prior to any assignment so that we can get to know each other and consider any variables. I know photography is a business but I truly love the creativity involved and enjoy getting inspiring and classic images. I do not work with any second photographer who doesn't feel the same way.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Several years of Art School, including photography basics (on film). Worked as a stylist with some of the top photographers in the country and learned a lot from them. Many years of shooting in the private sector as well as in the entertainment industry. Fine art prints exhibited in shows in Santa Monica CA, Chicago IL and Hollywood CA.
