FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Prices are always negotiable! I do work a full time job so pet sitting is a fun way for me to help out people who need it. As such, I have a set fee for this service but really leave it up to the owner for what they are able to pay. No pet should have sub par care because of cost. Feel free to ask me for a different quote if needed :)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet the owner, meet the pet, go through a typical routine with them like feeding, walking, grooming, etc. just so they associate me with something positive and I can see how they react to normal every day situations. I'm a detailed note taker so as we meet I am usually taking notes about pet likes and dislikes, habits and rules and other information.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I grew up on a farm so I have nursed, fed, walked and trained about every animal possible - even an alpaca! I am a trained equine masseuse (again great for those Great Danes out there) and just all around lover of animals. I feel incredibly comfortable in the presence of all animals because I have spent so much of my life caring for them. I have been a registered pet foster parent for years so I have seen cats and dogs in all walks of life needing devoted and special attention. I can bottle feed, administer shots and pills, walk, run, feed and trust me, if there is anything special your pet needs to make him or her feel special, I am happy to accommodate.
