- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Treatments last about 1hr. $60-100 sliding scale, pay what you can.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I sit down with the patient and ask them about their main complaint and then do a thorough review of their body systems' functions. This clues me into the patterns of disharmony at play in their system. I then have the patient get on the treatment table and make sure they are comfortable. I confirm and solidify my diagnosis by looking at their tongue and reading their pulse. Treatment is then implemented while making sure the patient is relaxed. I then let them rest. Many notice an immediate change in symptoms and fall asleep because they're so relaxed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I currently work part time at Pure Life Clinic in NE Portland on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. I treat patients out of my apartment and do home visits in Portland on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday. My training includes 3,050 hrs of schooling at the New England School of acupuncture, masters degree and national certification and state licensing in Oregon. I have also taught acupuncture and Chinese medicine at the university level and in small workshops.
